About Me

I am an Oakland, California-based consultant with over 15 years of management experience. I specialize in interim executive director roles for nonprofits.

My clients span a wide range of causes, sizes, and business models. I have been an interim director at six different organizations working on causes including: the environment, education, homeless services, seniors/healthy aging, and the performing arts.

Previously, I served as the executive director of a nationally recognized nonprofit chamber music ensemble, co-founded a social enterprise business providing youth performing arts training, and provided fundraising and management consulting to a variety of nonprofit clients.

I have a bachelor’s degree in comparative literature from U.C. Berkeley, and certificates in board leadership and nonprofit financial stewardship from the Harvard Kennedy School.

I am co-chair elect of the Executive Transitions & Leadership Continuity Affinity Group, a national professional group working to develop methodologies, reinforce good practices, and identify research needs that promote leadership continuity and nonprofit sustainability. Past volunteering highlights include serving as board chair of Leap, and performing for five seasons with the San Francisco Symphony Chorus.

Memberships: Bay Area Interim Executive Directors Network. Association of Fundraising Professionals. Alliance for Nonprofit Management.
